About Katongo

My Story

Like many American stories, I am not just a child of immigrants I am an immigrant myself. I moved to the United States at the age of 15 from my wonderful country of Zambia. My parents had moved to the States some eight years before my brother and I joined them.

I would love to say I had a wonderful childhood growing up but I didn’t. After my parents moved, I lived in five different households and I only felt cared for in one. I know what it is like to go to bed hungry, to be used as child labor, to be deprived of an education and the list goes on. Maybe one day I will write a book. My life has taught me to love the things I have, to love the people around me with everything I have, and to appreciate everything.

I am blessed in many ways, it has taken a lot of hard work to get to where I am in my life and I know it will take even more hard work to get to where I want to be. We all have our struggles in life, we all have our moments. Don’t compare my life on this blog to your life as you do not see the backstage. Life is hard for everyone in different ways, focus on the good in your life now.

Remember is if you constantly think of a red car you will notice more red cars.

Manifest your reality.

KATC Adventures

How I Got Started

What is Katc Adventures? The first 3 letters come from my 1st name and the C comes from the 1st letter of my last name. Here I will share a bit of my everyday adventures. I do not live a fancy expensive life but I still make it a wonderful adventure to look forward to in the best way I can.

It’s an adventure I invite you to come along on……

This is a safe place for me to explore my love of writing and reading, therefore, I invite you to share your writing with me. Negativity and bulling will not be allowed, it will be immediately deleted and blocked. Let’s all share love and understanding.
