People disappoint, it’s life and you can cry about it

A good cry helps to heal, and best done in the shower.

Hello Adventurers,

Another beautiful day to live awesomely or just live through another day. I am not one to continuously say things will get better, because honestly sometimes they do and sometimes they get worse before you see any light. But I am here to say, let’s make our lives a tad bit easier and stop idolizing people. We all have people we look up too, people we follow. It may be regular folks we interact with and see or it may be people we see on tv and online. Either way these people have some meaning in our lives because we look up to them and these nothing wrong with that, just don’t idolize them as people who can do no wrong.

As humans we all make mistakes and so do those people. If we put people on a higher platform in our lives we run the risk of great disappointment and many of us don’t like that, myself included. In this day and age of social media, we see way too many people attached to people they have never met. Then when said people do something they don’t approve of, they get super hurt and disappointed. Here is a question, have you ever done something you were disappointed in yourself for doing? I have, you have, and the people you idolize have too. So try to not get so personal with people you only see on a screen. We follow people for different reasons, they may be funny, good looking, smart, talk about issues we like, play a sport we love well, and so on.

Most important many of us follow people we see a glimpse of ourselves in, we may not know it consciously but there is something about the people we admire that reminds us of us.

They may have achieved our goals, they may wear their clothes the way we want too, be our fitness goals, relationship goals, spiritual goals, and the list goes on. Please remember, those people got there through their our unique journey. They may have similar beliefs and struggles as you but not on an identical level. People have different levels of morals, and don’t approach a situation in the same exact way to the tiniest detail every time. Don’t idolize and follow people too much, know who you are.

Know that you are still growing on different levels everyday of your life, and so are the people you love.

Keep that in mind and you will not be too disappointed when they fail.

Love,
